How we hire
Let’s walk you through the steps.
The four hiring stages
Stage 1: Apply
Find your role, send your CV.
Stage 2: Screening
If you’re a fit, we’ll reach out to set up a call.
Stage 3: Technical
Depending on the role, there’s a technical test, just to make sure you’ve got the skills to make an impact from day one.
Stage 4: Culture fit
Getting to know you (no pressure).

FAQs
No. Your CV and any links to your work are enough.
Yes, up to two at a time. Pick the ones that fit you best.
Yes, for some roles across our locations. Tell us your situation when you apply.
We read every application and reply as fast as we can. If you’re a fit, we’ll reach out to set up a screening call.
We get a lot of applications, so we can’t give detailed feedback on every one. If you’ve interviewed with us, reach out to your recruiter and they’ll get back to you with feedback within a week. If you didn’t reach the interview stage, it’s usually down to skills or experience for that specific role, not a verdict on you. One no isn’t a no from Calo. Roles change often, so keep an eye on the board.
Yes. Your first role counts, and a lot of our leaders started out as juniors here. Read how Fares went from first CX hire to CX Manager.
Yes, we take on interns. If your university has an internship program, tell us your timeline when you apply.
Maybe! It depends on the project and how it fits Calo. Email people@calo.app and tell us what you have in mind.
Depends on the role. Kitchen and site teams work on-site; many office and tech roles are hybrid.
No riddles and no trick questions. You’ll work on real problems from our roadmap, then finish with a conversation about how you like to work.
Calo will never ask for money, financial details, or passwords while hiring. Real recruiters write from @calo.app addresses only.
Tips
What impresses us
Poke around first
Check out our socials and LinkedIn to get a feel for who we are. Download the app, or grab a meal or drink from one of our cafés or on a delivery app. We appreciate when you come prepared.
Show us what you can do
Something you built. Something you fixed. Something you made better. That’s worth way more than a list of tools you know. We want the real stuff.
Talk like yourself
Speak like you would with a colleague or a friend. Plain answers beat rehearsed ones, every time. If you don’t know something, say so and tell us how you’d find out. That tells us more than a perfect answer would.
Ask sharp questions
No question is too bold or too wrong. Ask about the team you’d join, what a hard week looks like, how decisions get made, or where the role goes in a year. Interviews go both ways, don’t waste your turn!
Students and fresh grads
We take on interns, and yes, your first role also counts. A lot of our leaders started out as juniors here.
No role that fits?
Leave your details and we’ll let you know when one opens.
